| Protected Aluminum Coating |
We overcoat the aluminum with a dielectric layer, then we get
the protected aluminum coating. These coating, through the above
process of technology, can't be oxidized easily. So it means
that they have a formation protected against oxidation.
The coating is half a wavelength thick at 550nm or so, which
effectively makes it absentee at that wavelength. They are mainly
used as applications for reflector from 300nm at through the
infrared. |
